Camping Information

Camping at Simple Day will be in two forms – full hookup RV sites at $20 per night and primitive campsites at $10 per night. Please note that these prices are per tent/RV per night, not per person. Spots will not be pre-assigned; we will have a map of site at Gate (and at the door of Gate for after-hours arrivals) to help you find a location. Note that we will be reserving some areas for access lanes.
For those familiar with our site, the RV camping will be at the south end of the Promenade just north of the bridge, while primitive camping will be in the south half of the open field across the creek north of the expo hall (now with improved drainage systems!)

We would love to see groups camp together and will also be encouraging bardic fire-crawling on Saturday night. If your group or camp would like to have bardic entertainment come to you, please hang a mug on an easy-to-see post near the entrance of your camp.

In-ground fires are NOT allowed in any of our camping areas this year. Portable fire pits ARE allowed. Please make sure you either have certified kiln-dried firewood or else purchase firewood locally to avoid the spread of Emerald Ash Borer.

If you wish to have a fire in your camp, you must use a raised fire bowl, preferably with a fireproof mat underneath it. You may bring firewood with you under any of the following conditions:
– It is kiln-dried scrap lumber with no bark.
– It is from your home or another INDIANA location and has all bark removed.
– It bears a USDA compliance stamp.
– It has a state compliance stamp with it.
Bundled firewood is available at the Circle K in front of the Walmart south of the Fairgrounds and at the Kroger west of the Fairgrounds.

Alcoholic beverages ARE allowed on site (see our FAQ for details.) Please haul any empty containers out with you when you break camp and do not dispose of them in site trash receptacles.
